Dis-Tech (The Disadvantages of Technology)

Technology is spreading like wild fire. It is not about manuals anymore, it's about automatics. One button that could change your life. A button that could either save you or betray you. Technology affects us more than the world itself. It takes us into another level of pleasure, THE I-CAN-DO-BETTER-THAN-YOU SCHEME. It technology really a thing that we're to be thankful for? Or it ruins our minds in a way that technology becomes our GOD, our MASTER.
What does technology do, that God cannot?
We realize that there were more killings in a month than there were a decade ago. Technology in a way influences our character, our poise, our emotions.
Games that draws blood, kills people in just one click on our mouse.
We're seeing the new dawn of the earth, another chapter in Earth's page, a technology, things that are beyond average human's comprehension, it affects us the way it affects them.

Technology, blessing or Disadvantage?

sermons on the blog.. =)

The World against The Word

Expect the unexpected.

Believe the unbelievable.

Accept the unaccepted.

This world against God's Word.

Secular vs. Sacred

Hell vs. Heaven

Bad vs. Good

Wrong vs. Right

Temporal vs. Eternal

it's in these days, where a gay would be in the television and instead of disliking, we tend to like, just because: He(i mean she) is a very good comedian/enne..

it's in these days where adultery are more common than marriage,

the days where Cigarette is a GOVERNMENT WARNING and DANGEROUS TO YOUR HEALTH, but they still advertise it,

the days where killing was alright if you just protected yourself,

the days where abortion are made legal in some countries,

the days where divorce is just a "piece o' cake",

the days where running naked is supported,

you with me..?

ever heard of a Christian who drank an alcohol and smoked.?

Sounds familiar, huh?

YOU CALL URSELF A CHRISTIAN AND YET YOU DRINK BEERS AND SMOKE CIGARS?

gimme a break...

if i were God, i won't accept you in Heaven, and put a new rule: Christians who drink beers and alcohols and smoke won't be accepted.

are you getting it..?
we should make the influence, not the one who is influenced.

we should be the salt, not the food.

we should be the light, not the dark.

We must take control, not the ones controlled.

WE SHOULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE, not a SUM...
you gettin me..?

we live as if God doesn't exist.

and the sad thing is, He does, and He knows what you are doing.
It's time to repent.

I'm not saying this because i'm too holy, im not even classified as a holy-guy-type.

im saying this because i cant take it anymore...

if youre a Christian, then be a Christian.

LIVE LIKE ONE.

Taking Things for Granted

taking things for granted....

i'm again going to give you a sermon... =) enjoy this one...

Taking things for granted?

consider this: if we have new things, let's say an iPhone... we became very happy with it... we thank God almost every minute... but after 3 months or so, are u still thanking God for it..?

u see the difference..? we take things for granted...
and when we lose it, we get frustrated... the sad thing is, we get frustrated with God, saying "why are you allowing these things to happen...?"

doesn't he have the right to take away things from us...?
take for example the things around you...

when you get so frustrated with life, you throw things, you even curse things...
another one is someone who was helping you when you can't do it alone...
have you even said a Thank You...? i mean a hearty one...?
take a look at your surroundings right now...
what if half of it were gone...?
you dont notice it naman e...
so, God might as well take it...
He'll give it to someone who can appreciate, someone who has a greater need... someone who doesn't take things for granted...

Conclusion:
what if ur parents will be gone (God forbid)
right now...? or maybe even tomorrow...
never ever take things for granted...
because that might be the last time you will see it.....
.....

Pride: Outbreak

Pride: Outbreak

why are there some people who think they are stronger than others when they know they are not...?

why are there some people who think they are wiser than others when, in reality, they know nothing...?

why are there some people who think they are the most important person in the world, that if he/she were gone, no one could do his/her work, when really, no one needs him/her...?

why are there some people who think they are better than the others, when really, he is the weakest of them all...?

Would it really help to be favored above all..?

Coz... it just pulls out the devil in us...

When we have proved something... we get proud of ourselves...

So proud... that we forgot ...

we were made from dust...

we were made by God...

we are just limited...

we do not know what will happen on the morrow...

Pride...
It cometh before destruction...

It destroys the deepest friendships...

It wrecks a peaceful life...

It deteriorates humbleness in our lives...

It dispells God's grace for us...

It's an issue that all of us are facing right now...

The same issue that Satan had not won...

The same issue that Eve and Adam lost...

The same issue that King Saul lost..

and others, too...

Pride is an air-bourne disease that can be easily caught...
beware...

There is no cure in pride...

it is either destruction...

or death...

so long...=)

How Do You Share Your Faith?? a must-read

how do ya share ya faith???

(An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, The Almighty.
He asks one of his new students to stand and.....)

Prof: So you believe in God?
Student: Absolutely, sir.
Prof: Is God good?
Student: Sure.
Prof: Is God all-powerful?
Student: Yes.
Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn't. How is this God good then? Hmm?
Student: (Student is silent.)
Prof: You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?
Student: Yes.
Prof: Is Satan good?
Student: No.
Prof: Where does Satan come from?
Student: From...God...
Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student: Yes.
Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything. Correct?
Student: Yes.
Prof: So who created evil?
Student: (Student does not answer.)
Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?
Student: Yes, sir.
Prof: So, who created them?
Student: (Student has no answer.)
Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever seen God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?
Student: No , sir.
Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?
Student: No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student: Yes.
Prof: According to the empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.
Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.
Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.
Student: And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.
Student: No sir. There isn't.

(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure -cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.
(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student: You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light....But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it iwere, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?
Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student: Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)

Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavour, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class is in uproar.)

Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?

(The class breaks out into laughter.)

Student: Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it?.....No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student: That is it sir.. The link between man & God is FAITH. That is all that keeps things moving & alive.

I believe you have enjoyed the conversation...and if so...you'llprobably want your friends/colleagues to enjoy the same...won'tyou?...forward them to increase their knowledge...
